Pier West

This Bosa Developments project required a multi-phased, deep excavation and demolition along the foreshore of downtown New Westminster. The total volume of excavation will be over 100,000 m3 of which approximately 20,000 m3 is expected to be contaminated; all contaminated material is sent to a controlled facility for processing.

The job features a hybrid cut-off wall system, including cutter soil mixing panels, secant piles, continuous flight auger piles, driven pipe piles, jet grout columns and tie-back anchors. Stone columns and driven foundation pipe piles are among the future ground improvement measures.

Site logistics and regulatory compliance were critical and with each step along the way, Hall has supported the client in navigating these challenges.
